The first Great RochdALE Festival of Champions Ale Trail gets ready to launch next week.

The event is being held across 8 of Rochdale's best town centre bars and pubs from Thursday, 15 November 2018 to Saturday, 17 November 2018 and organisers are hoping to pull in pint lovers with over 100 real ales, ciders, locally-brewed ales and unique craft beers.

As well as pumping new business into the pubs taking part, the innovative new multi-venue festival will also showcase the award-winning regeneration of Rochdale, which has attracted many new businesses over the past few years.

It is being sponsored by chartered surveyors Barton and Kendal Commercial and Rochdale Round Table. John Barton, director of Barton and Kendal Commercial, said:

"I'm excited the festival is being held in local pubs, which gives Rochdale the ability to show what the town has to offer. I hope the event is a success and the team at Barton Kendal Commercial and I will be sampling a few beers"

Raising a glass to the new event, Danny Williams, Chair of Rochdale Round Table, added:

"We're pleased to support the trail, which will raise money for the mayor's charities. The ale trail is the perfect way of showcasing some fantastic venues and some great beers."

Councillor John Blundell, our Cabinet Member for Regeneration is thirsty for success. He said:

"We have a town centre rich in history, with lots of great pubs in beautiful buildings. We are a strong food and drink destination, there's lots going on in the town centre and this ale trail around the riverside brings it all together."
