Rochdale Food and Drink Festival has a new sponsor - automotive dealer Premier Kia will be the official partner of the festival which returns to Rochdale Town Hall on Saturday, 16 March 2019.
The Rochdale Kia dealership based on Molesworth Street near the town centre will be promoting the event to their customers across the region and showcasing vehicles at the festival itself. The deal will also see Premier Kia's logo on festival marketing and a series of warm up promotions to showcase the event and the Kia range including the new Kia Proceed.
Ben Bird, general manager at Premier Kia said:
"We are proud to be sponsoring this festival for the first time, and it's virtually on our doorstep. Partnering at the festival is a great way for us to support the local community. There is a great food and drink offer in the town centre and I believe in promoting this to as wide an audience as possible, so events like Rochdale Food and Drink Festival are really important."
'another fantastic line-up'
Councillor Janet Emsley, our Cabinet Member for Neighbourhoods, Community and Culture who visited Premier Kia this week added:
"Having Premier Kia's investment in last year's Feel Good Festival was excellent and I am pleased to see them now extend their support. We are always grateful to companies who invest in our events. Thousands flocked to the festival last year and we've another fantastic line-up with even more to see and do. I'm really looking forward to it."
6 chefs will be cooking live during the event, including Dean Edwards, Andrew Nutter and Aazam Ahmad. If you don't manage to grab a ticket for one of the chef demonstrations there'll be a free seating area in the Clock Tower Dining Room to watch on big screens and soak up the festival atmosphere.
The festival kitchen, sponsored by local business Quirky Catering, will again be located inside the Grade 1 listed town hall along with plenty of stalls and free things to do. There'll be an outside food and drink village, a series of free themed demonstrations including cocktail making and artisan chocolate making, plus live music from local acts.
Over on the Family Stage Mr Bloom from CBeebies will be performing his one man show. Also for families with young children – there will be Shake, Rattle and Roll workshops. The sessions were a big hit at last year's Manchester Food & Drink Festival - children will get chance to explore instruments, create sounds, sing songs, dance, move, socialise and make a big noise!! For older children, the Mad Science team will be hosting spectacular free workshops in their pop up tent, featuring amazing food related science experiments and a lot of fun.
Rochdale Food and Drink Festival is on Saturday, 16 March 2019, open from 10am to 8pm and admission is free.
