The borough will come together at Rochdale Town Hall for a special Festival of Remembrance to pay tribute to members of the Armed Forces community.
The evening, organised by us, will recognise the service and sacrifice of veterans past and present in helping to protect people's liberty and freedom.
The event takes place in the Great Hall on Friday, 1 November 2019 at 7pm and will include military bands, an act of remembrance, historic war stories and much more.
Guests will include the Mayor of Rochdale, Members of Parliament, local councillors and dignitaries from across the Armed Forces community.
Councillor Janet Emsley, cabinet member for the armed forces, said: "This will be a really special evening as the Armed Forces family unites to pay its respects to those who have served and sacrificed. Last year's event was a moving and memorable evening, which I am sure will be replicated on 1 November.
'It is sure to be a moving occasion as the borough pays its respects'
"The event is open to everyone to attend and it will be lovely to see Rochdale Town Hall's Great Hall packed out with people, of all ages, from our community across the borough. It is sure to be a moving occasion as the borough pays its respects. We will remember them."
Tickets for the Festival of Remembrance are priced just £15, including a pie and pea supper. They can be bought in person from Rochdale Town Hall reception.
