Library charges
Library charges from April 2011:
Fines for overdue books and audio items
Per item per day (plus the cost of postage if a notice has been
sent)
- Adults - 15p
- Children and young people under 17 - no charge
- People who are blind or severely visually-impaired - no
charge
The maximum fine per item is
£10.
Avoid fines for overdue items by getting
reminders when they are due back. If you cannot get to the
library on time you can usually renew your loans and avoid
fines.
Book Reservations
Per item (non refundable)
- There are no charges for items in stock or on order
- Requests for books which are not in stock or which are
supplied via the regional library service - £3
- Requests for photocopies of periodical articles obtained
through the regional library service - £3
Audio-visual loans
- Audio books - £1
- Learn A Language Audio - £1
- Music CDs - 50p
- DVDs: Feature Films. £2
- DVDs: Children and Leisure – 50p
- Daily hire charge per overdue audiovisual item per day -
