Choosing and booking your accommodation

Each accommodation entry gives information on location, price, number of rooms and the facilities available. Entries are listed by type of accommodation:

Entries are listed by nearest town and then alphabetically by name of establishment.

Please note that the information on these pages is not a comprehensive list of every establishment in the borough. If you offer accommodation or tourism services for visitors to the Rochdale area and would like them included please send us your details.

Disabled visitors

Several establishments have indicated that their facilities are suitable for disabled people. You are advised however, to check direct with the establishment at the time of booking to ensure that your particular needs can be met.

Properties which make provision for cyclists and horse riders are acknowledged by special symbols. Facilities which are provided can vary and you are advised to check with the establishment direct.

Prices

The prices have been provided by the establishments themselves. You are advised to check prices directly with the establishment upon booking. There may also be special promotional offers available at certain times of the year which are not included in this guide.

How to book your accommodation

Once you have decided on the accommodation you would like, there are two ways to book:

Contact the establishment directly

Please mention that you found their establishment through the Rochdale Borough Council website. Remember to state your requirements clearly and advise the establishment of your expected time of arrival. It is strongly recommended that you confirm your booking in writing and get confirmation of booking from the establishment.

Book through Rochdale Tourist Information Centre

For a small booking fee you can use the ‘Book A Bed Ahead’ Service. Experienced, friendly staff with in-depth knowledge of the local area will be able to guide you in your choice of accommodation to suit your needs.

Although they cannot recommended individual establishments they can suggest a range of alternative establishments should your first choice not be available. In addition they can advise on things to see and do during your stay.

A sign of quality – accommodation ratings you can trust

Those establishments listed with a * symbol have been inspected and graded by the English Tourism Council, the AA or the RAC . These properties are visited annually by trained impartial inspectors so that you can have confidence that your accommodation has been thoroughly checked and rated for quality.

The greater the number of stars, the higher the quality and the greater the range of facilities and level of services provided.

It should be noted that the non-inspected accommodation in this guide has not been inspected by either Rochdale Borough Council or by North West Tourist Board.

Please remember that all prices quoted are guidelines only and should be confirmed at the time of booking.
