Library charges

Fines for overdue books and audio items - per item per day (plus the cost of postage if a notice has been sent)

• Adult  - 10p
• Junior, under 17s and over 60s - no charge.

Book Reservations - per item (non refundable)

• There are no charges for items in stock or on order
• Requests for books which are not in stock or which are supplied  via the regional library service  - £1
• Requests for photocopies of periodical articles obtained through the regional library service - £2 

Cassette loans

• Three week hire - 50p (passport to leisure holders - 25p)

CD loans

• Three week hire - 50p (passport to leisure holders - 25p)

Photocopying - per copy

• A4 and B4 size paper  - 10p
• A3 size paper - 20p
• Photocopies of articles from journals and newspapers -  £1

Microprints

• Per print - 50p

Computer Print Outs

• Per print - 10p

House of Images - local history prints at Heywood and Middleton libraries

• Per A4 print on photographic paper - £1
• Per A4 print on standard paper - 20p
• Per 6" x 4"image plus text print on standard paper - 20p

Playsets and music sets

• Sets obtained through the regional library service - Per set £6. (A higher charge applies where material is obtained from selected libraries. Please contact the library service for details).  

Replacement membership cards (Computerised libraries only)

• Adult - £1.50
• Junior, under 17s and concessionary - £1

Replacement membership cards are free until the end of March 2009, as part of our celebration of The National Year of Reading.
