In person library renewals

When you are in the library, ask a member of staff to renew your books or loans.

Renewing items: You do not have to bring all the items back to the library every time you want to renew them. We will ask to see them after a few renewals, just to check them.

If somebody else has reserved an item we will ask you to return it so that they can have it.

When should I renew my library loans?

If you are not sure that you will be able to return your books or loans before the due date it is a good idea to renew them as a precaution. If it turns out that you can return them on time after all, no harm done. If not, the loans are renewed and you won't have to worry about them becoming overdue.

If you have any overdue items, please renew them as soon as possible. This stops any fines building up and saves us sending you overdue notices and charging you for the postage. If an item is more than six months overdue and you do not contact us, we will assume that you have lost it and we will send you a bill.

Some library loans cannot be renewed
