Afrocats came to visit us at Balderstone Library's regular Friday morning Rhythm and Rhyme Group . It was wonderful to see everyone joining in with the performers and having such a good time!
In October 2009 we joined in the national survey of public library customers. We have received the results and are delighted to find that 93% thought we provide a good, or very good, service in our libraries.
Come and meet poet Ian Bland at Norden and the Wheatsheaf Libraries on Saturday 27 March. Everyone is welcome to hear Ian's poems - then have a go at writing one yourself!
We had another brilliant James Nash Bash, courtesy of Boys Into Books on 9 March 2010. James provided some more of his inspirational poetry workshops for invited audiences of pupils from local primary schools.
The Macular Disease Society will be meeting in the Wheatsheaf Library on Monday 15 March 2010. From then on their meetings will be on the third Monday of each month.

“Weaving Words” is a creative writing group that meets in the Wheatsheaf Library, Rochdale on the second and fourth Monday of each month. Meetings start at 5.30pm and finish at 7.15pm. New members are always welcome.
