Cycling

Some parts of the Rochdale Way are accessible for cycle use.
Most of the route is on public footpaths but where public
bridleways are available these have been used so that some sections
can be used by horse-riders and cyclists.
Copies of the Rochdale Way leaflet are available from Rochdale
Tourist Information Centre. A detailed guide is also avaiable.
The Pennine Bridleway can be accessed from various places
within the Borough including from Watergrove with the 47 mile Mary
Towneley Loop offering a 2-3 day circular bike ride. Details are
available from the Countryside Agency. For further information
contact Natural England on 0870 120 6466 or visit the National
Trails website.
