Coronavirus (COVID-19): Rochdale Town Hall updates
In light of the current situation, Rochdale Town Hall is closed. It will reopen on government advice when safe to do so. It will then close again on 1 January 2021 so we can renovate the building. We expect the town hall to reopen in 2023.
Rochdale Town Hall is just a short walk from the transport interchange and with plenty of parking, is easily accessible by bus, tram, train or car.

Getting there by bus
Rochdale is well connected to surrounding towns by bus, with a number of services running to and from the town. The Rochdale Interchange on Smith Street is just a short walk from the Town Hall. Details of routes running to Rochdale can be found at

Getting there by tram
Simply take a connecting tram to “Rochdale Town Centre”, which can be found on the purple line. The Town Hall is approximately 2 minutes walk down South Parade. FREE parking is provided at many tram stops on the
Getting there by train
Rochdale Train Station is on the Leeds to Manchester line, making it easily accessible from both cities. The Town Hall is less than a 15 minute walk from the station – head down Maclure Road onto Drake Street, then take a left onto South Parade. The Town Hall will be on your left.
Getting there by car

From the M62 exit at junction 20, join the A627(M) toward Rochdale. After 1 mile, follow the road left onto Edinburgh Way. At the traffic lights, take a right onto Manchester Road (A58). After 1 mile, take a right onto the Esplanade. The Town Hall will be on your right.
