History of Middleton CemeteryMiddleton Cemetery grounds.

The cemetery was created in 1912 to provide further burial space in Middleton. Since its opening, over 9,000 burials have taken place in the cemetery. A crematorium was added to the site in 1952.

In 2012, on the year of its centenary, the cemetery was extended to provide enough burial space for a further 16 years.

Further work improved pathways and car parking as well as new draining, water taps and foundations for the installation of headstones.
