Supporting people - help and support
How do I get help and support?
The Supporting People team can put you in touch with providers
and services across Rochdale. Our details are in the 'contact'
section of this page.
Alternatively, you can ask the Homelessness Advice Centre, your
Social Worker, Housing Association or nearest Customer Service
Centre for information on the services that are available to
you.
Who can get help from Supporting People?
You can get help if you are:
- A homeless person who needs support
- A young person in need of support
- An older person in need of support
- A person fleeing domestic violence
- A person with mental health problems
- A person with a learning disability
- An offender or ex-offender
- Someone who needs support to live independently
What kind of help could I get?
The Supporting People team pay providers to give you housing
support which means you could get help, this includes:
- Help with day to day jobs like paying bills, filling in forms
or making your home safe and secure
- Help if you are young and think you might become homeless
- Support for older people in sheltered housing schemes.
- Temporary hostels, if you need to get away from a domestic
violence situation
- Support in your own home or other supported
accommodation
If you need help to look for somewhere else to live, your
support provider will be able to help you with this.
