Home care
Home care is someone coming into your home to help you or
your child. The 'Fair Access to Care Services' guidelines sets out
the procedures Adult Care Service work to when they assess people's
needs and decide who they can and cannot provide or arrange
services for.
Home care workers can help you, and the people who help look
after you, with essential tasks which you cannot do on your own
because of an illness or disability. This could include help with
things like: getting up, getting dressed, making meals and going to
the toilet.
Before we can arrange any home care services for you, you must
be in a priority group for home care and we must assess your
needs.
For more details and to ask for an assessment, contact your
Social Services township office or Social Care Charges.
