Residential care - adult
There are many types of support available to enable you to live
in your own home; however there are times when the only place your
needs can be met, is in a residential or nursing home. If this
happens to you, we can help by arranging for an assessment of your
needs to determine what level of care you require.
The decision to recommend residential or nursing home care will
only be made after a full assessment of your needs and the needs of
anyone who helps to care for you. If nursing home care is
recommended, then the local NHS will provide the nursing
assessment.

Looking for a care home?
The Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI) are responsible
for carrying out independent reports on the quality of local and
national care homes, helping you to make an informed choice.
Different care homes meet different needs. Some provide full time
nursing care on top of personal care, others support people with a
specific disability or a medical need. CSCI provide
information about local care homes and help you to choose a care
home that will be right for you now and in the future.
