Support & training
Although fostering is very rewarding, there’ll be
times when you find the role challenging and you may face
difficult and upsetting circumstances.
Don’t worry you’ll not be on your own; we’ll be with you every
step of the way.
We make sure there is an excellent support system for our foster
carers and that you can get all the help, training and advice when
you need it.
What you’ll receive
- Excellent, ongoing training and opportunities to gain new
qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Child Care
- A competitive weekly allowance from £165 - £500 per child per
week.
- A dedicated link worker who’ll support you throughout your
whole fostering career.
- Regular support and advice from various teams who can help you
with each individual child dependent on their needs, for example
education workers.
- Support groups with other foster carers, and if you have your
own children there are also groups that they can attend.
- A variety of social events for you or your family to attend
throughout the year.
