COVID-19: Additional Restrictions Grant - Tier 4 and National Lockdown

The Additional Restrictions Grant is available for certain businesses who are forced to close because of Tier 4 and National Lockdown restrictions.

Eligibility

You need to meet all the following criteria to be eligible:

  • You must not have your own specific rateable value. However, if you do have a rateable value, you may be able to apply for the Tier 4 Local Restrictions Support Grant instead
  • You were trading on 30 December 2020
  • You had to close your business because of the Tier 4 restrictions starting on 31 December 2020 which became the national restrictions from 5 January
  • You have business premises and do not work from home

What you'll get

If you're eligible, you'll receive £667 for every 2 weeks you're closed. The first payment will be for a 6-week period.

If you've more than one qualifying business property, you'll receive a payment for each property.

How to claim

Claiming is different depending on whether you've already received one of the following grants or not:

​You do not need to apply - we'll pay you automatically if you're eligible.

This is because you've already given us your details when you applied for the National Lockdown or Tier 3 Grant.

​To claim the Additional Restrictions Support Grant:

  1. Complete an application form.
  2. Email your completed application form and evidence to external.funding@rochdale.gov.uk
  3. Send a copy of your latest bank statement showing the sort code and account number for your business account receiving your grant payment.

We will not be able to process your form without your bank statement.

How you're paid

​The Additional Restrictions Grant will be paid into your bank or building society account.

Once we've received your completed form and verified the evidence you've submitted, we aim to make a payment within 7 working days. If we need any additional information, we will contact you.
