What is Supporting People?
The Supporting People programme is committed to providing a
better quality of life for vulnerable people to live more
independently and maintain their housing. Our programme provides
housing-related support to prevent problems that can often lead to
hospitalisation, institutional care or homelessness and can help
the smooth transition to independent living for those leaving an
institutional environment.
Our Supporting People programme in Rochdale was launched on 1
April 2003 and provides housing related support services to over
8000 vulnerable people. We deliver the programme by 54
different provider organisations through more than 261 different
services.
