Everyone is invited to attend our Remembrance Day parades and services to show their gratitude to servicemen and women.

Representatives from the Navy, Army and Royal Air Force will join veterans and civic dignitaries for the parades, which will take place in Rochdale, Heywood, Littleborough, Middleton, Norden, Milnrow and Wardle.

Heywood Remembrance Sunday parade and service

Cadets marching in Heywood parade. 9.30am-10.15am: meet on Tower Street, Heywood.
10.30am: the parade will set off from Tower Street heading to Heywood Memorial Gardens. From Tower Street the parade will take a left on to St James’ Street, right on to Bridge Street, along Market Street and Market Place, right on to Hind Hill Street then left into Heywood Memorial Gardens.
10.45am: the parade will arrive at Heywood Memorial Gardens.
10.55am-11.15am: the Remembrance Service will take place at Heywood Memorial Gardens.
11.20am: the parade will set off for a march from Heywood Memorial Gardens to Tower Street. From the memorial gardens, the parade will head out on to Hind Hill Street, Pine Street, Hornby Street then LCpl Stephen Shaw Way for the salute and will then march back up to Market Place, Market Street, Bridge Street, St James’ Street back to Tower Street.

Littleborough Remembrance Sunday parade and service

10am: meet at Hare Hill House.
10.30am: the parade will leave for the village memorial by turning left on to Hare Hill Road and left on to Church Street.
10.55am: the Remembrance Service will take place at the village memorial.
11.35am: the parade will return to Hare Hill House following the same route.

Middl​​eton​ Remembrance Sunday parade and service

Cadets stood as part of memorial service. The crew of HMS Middleton will be parading in Middleton on the day and proving a guard of honour at the memorial.

10.15am: meet facing The Harbord Harbord pub, Wetherspoon's, in Long Street. The parade will head south past Middleton Gardens, turn right on to Middleton Way, turn left on to Manchester Road then arrive at Middleton Memorial Gardens.
10.25am: the parade will leave for Middleton Remembrance Gardens following the same route.
10.45am: the Remembrance Service will begin.

Milnro​​​w Remembrance Sunday parade and service

Milnrow War Memorial.

10.30am: meet at Harmony Street band hut.
10.40am: the parade will leave for Milnrow Memorial park by turning right on to Cornfield Street, turning right on to Newhey Road.
10.55am: the Remembrance Service at the Cenotaph will begin.
11.20am: the parade will return to Harmony Street using the same route.

Norden Remembrance Sunday parade and service

10.30am: the parades will start from individual Norden Churches.
10.50am: the Remembrance Service will begin at the Memorial Gardens at the junction of Woodhouse Lane and Edenfield Road.
11am: we'll have a 2 minutes' silence.
11.05am: we'll have the laying of wreaths.
11.10am: the parades will dismiss.

Rochd​​ale Remembrance Sunday parade and service

Soilders approaching Rochdale Cenotaph. 10.15am: meet on Yorkshire Street at the St Marys Gate End.
10.45am: the parade will depart to the Cenotaph by heading down Yorkshire Street and on to The Esplanade.
10.45am: ward councillors, magistrates, officers and other civic guests will assemble in the Town Hall Exchange.
10.50am: the Mayor, Chief Executive, MP, Leader of the Council, Opposition Leader and Church leaders will leave the main entrance of the town hall for the Service at the Cenotaph. At the end of the march, the Mayoral Party will return to the town hall and the parade will go to Packer Street.
12midday: Rochdale will commemorate the centenary of the end of World One War One with a carousel, swing boats and other family entertainment.

Wardle Remembrance Sunday parade and service

2.30pm: the parade will leave for the Memorial by heading south along Ramsden Road and branching right on to Wardle Road.
3pm: the Remembrance Service at the Memorial will begin.
3.30pm: the service will finish and the parade will return to the village square along the same route.
