Before the race
Can I change my entry?
If you need to change your entry you can do this in person at Rochdale Town Hall on:
- Saturday, 5 October 2019, 9am-2pm.
- Sunday, 6 October 2019, 8am-9.30am. Take your original race number to the on the day registration desk to either transfer to someone else or to change to another distance.
There is a £3 administration fee for any changes.
Unauthorised sale or transfer of your race entry or number to another person is strictly prohibited, and will result in disqualification and or banning from future events for any individuals involved.
You cannot cancel your entry and all entry fees are non-refundable.

Any postal entries received after Monday, 30 September 2019 will not be processed until Saturday, 5 October 2019, at which time they will be allocated a number the same as ‘On the day’ entrants.
How do I get my race number?
You can pick up your race number on Saturday, 5 October 2019 from Rochdale Town Hall from 9am-2pm, or on the morning of the event from 8am-9.30am.

What's the minimum age to take part?
The minimum age for runners is:
- Half Marathon - 17 years old on Sunday, 6 October 2019
- 10K - 16 years old on Sunday, 6 October 2019
- Fun Run - 4 years old on Sunday, 6 October 2019
Where can I park?
There's FREE car parking from 6.30am on the day of the event at:
Hopwood Hall College
St Mary's Gate

You can also park for FREE from 8am at the Rochdale Exchange Shopping Centre car park - a 10-minute walk from the start line.
Find other Rochdale town centre car parks - parking is FREE on Sundays.
What time do the races start?
The Sports Village outside Rochdale Town Hall will open at 8.30am. Please ensure you arrive at the town hall in plenty of time to drop off your baggage, warm up, relax and make your way to the start line. The race start times are:
- Half Marathon - 10am.
- 10K - 10.20am.
- Fun Run - 10.25am.
Is there a secure area to keep my kit safe?
Yes, there will be a managed baggage area in Rochdale Town Hall.
Will there be pacers?
Yes, we'll have a team of experienced runners who will pace runners in the half marathon at 15 minute intervals from 1.30pm-2.30pm. We will also have 50 minute and 1 hour pacers for the 10k. These runners will wear clothing identifying them as pace runners and the pace they're running at.
Am I allowed to wear headphones during the race?
For your own safety, the safety of other runners and members of the public, the wearing of headphones, earphones or similar devices is not permitted in this event. You could face automatic disqualification for ignoring this instruction. Bone conducting headphones such as AfterShokz are permitted, although you'll need to let us know you intend to wear them when you collect your number or your time may be deleted.
Can I take part on a roller skates or pushing a buggy?
We're following the advice of RunBritain and are not permitting anyone to be pushed around the course, in accordance with the rules of UK Athletics.
What nutrition will be available on the course?
There'll be water stations on the 10K and Half Marathon courses.

Please assist our volunteers by disposing of cups in the bins located at the end of feed zones.
Is there a time limit to finish the races?
Yes, the roads will re-open after 3 hours from the start of the Half Marathon, if you're still running after 1pm you'll need to run on the pavements and run as a pedestrian obeying all signals and the Highway Code. The finish line will close 3.5 hours after the start of the race, any runners completing after this time will not receive an official finisher’s time.

What do I get at the end of the race?

- 10K - medal and technical t-shirt
- Fun Run - medal
T-shirts are available in extra small, small, medium, large or extra large.
Where can I meet up with family and friends after the race?
There'll be a sports village outside Rochdale Town Hall. There's also a number of restaurants and bars near the start and finish line.
Are there any showers in the town hall?
There are no shower facilities.

Terms and conditions
I accept that the organiser will not be liable for any loss, damage, action, claim, cost or expenses which may arise in the consequence of my participation in or attendance to this event. I declare that I will not attend unless I am in good health on the day of the event and accept that I attend at my own risk. In the unlikely event of abandonment or cancellation, all or part of my entry fee may be retained for the management and administration of the event. No refunds or transfers allowed under any circumstances. For your own safety, the safety of other runners and members of the public, the wearing of headphones or earphones is not permitted in this event. Automatic disqualification from race results may follow for any competitors ignoring this instruction.
