Unique Enterprise Centre
A major regeneration project redeveloping the
four-storey Unique Mill on Belfield Road into an Enterprise Centre.
The project will support the economic regeneration of the area
and provide start-up accommodation for new businesses,
training opportunities, business support services, nursery with
crèche facilities and a cafe.
The centre is expected to open during Summer 2007 and will be
run by the Kashmir Youth Project (KYP).
The Kashmir Youth Project have been a leading agency in
developing new approaches to community regeneration, moving from
charitable funded services to securing service level agreements and
then to developing and leading local regeneration projects.
The enterprise centre will create a focussed and supportive
environment to stimulate business start-ups and provide training
and employment opportunities for local residents.
Once the refurbishment is complete, the project will provide the
following benefits to the local community:
- 18 managed workspace units
- A Training suite with ICT provision
- Reception and conference facilities
- 10 place crèche provision
- 20 place full day-care nursery provision
