There are sites across the borough where you can take items to be recycled. To help you find your nearest recycling site we've listed them in tables.

What is the maximum height of a vehicle?

In recognition of users’ views and the trend towards the increased height of vehicles, such as people carriers, becoming more common as family cars the height barriers, (which were set at a height of 5’9” (175cm) in order to deter traders from abusing the sites), have now been raised to 6'1" (185.5cm).

What if I have a complaint?

The sites are operated by Viridor Laing Greater Manchester, (VLGM). If you have any issues or comments about the sites please contact Greater Manchester Waste Disposal Authority.

*Important notice on recycling household sunbeds: The sun bed MUST be dismantled before arriving on site. Due to legislation the florescent tubes must be removed from the frame prior to arriving at site. Fluorescent tubes are then placed in a dedicated container and the frame can be placed in the electrical recycling container.
