Local Development Framework - supplementary planning documents

Supplementary Planning Documents (SPDs) are Local Development Framework documents but do not have Development Plan Document (DPD) status.  They are subject to rigorous procedures of community involvement and sustainability appraisal.  SPD s will expand on and interpret policies in DPD s to provide guidance for developers and others.  SPD s must be linked to (and conform to) saved Unitary Development Plan polices or DPD policies and will be used in the determination of planning applications.
