Grants and development fund
Grants and Development Funds are available from Leisure &
Culture Services to clubs who can demonstrate a commitment to
developing sporting opportunities for young people. Use the contact

Terms and conditions:
- The Grant will be used solely towards financing the items as
set out in the approved application and under no circumstances will
it be used for any other purpose.
- Prior to commencement of work/purchase, at least three
competitive tenders/quotes must be provided for items whose total
cost exceeds a specified amount
- A full explanation must be submitted to the Head of
Recreation if it is your intention not to accept the lowest
tender.
- Your Club must indicate how you intend to acknowledge the
support of the Council.
- The Club agrees to participate in reasonable requests to assist
publicity/promotional activities regarding this grant.
- Any representative authorised by the Council will be allowed to
inspect the Facility/Project at any time.
- The Club shall keep proper accounts and records regarding the
project and permit the Council access to them.
- The Club shall keep the Facility/Equipment in good repair and
undertake all things as may be necessary to ensure its proper
maintenance.
- The Club to return the attached written agreement to the
conditions of the grant.
- The Club to provide receipted invoice for work carried
out/goods supplied.
- The Council reserves the right to reclaim all or part of the
grant if the above conditions are not complied with.
- An offer of grant remains valid for a period of one year from
the date of the Panel at which the award is made. If a Club is
unable to make a valid claim within this period, the award is
forfeited.
Development Grants

providing access to the right sites and premises, the team has
specialist partners who can help with identifying grant funding,
recruitment and training, business support and development
and planning guidance.

Commerce, MIDAS, Rochdale Borough Council, Job Centres and many
