Greater Manchester Archaeological Unit
The Greater Manchester Archaeological Unit, based at the
University of Manchester and funded by the Association of Greater
Manchester Authorities, provides archaeological services to the ten
Greater Manchester districts authorities. The Unit is
divided into two teams providing archaeology, planning and
conservation services, and archaeology contracts and commission
services.
