Stray dogs
Our Stray Dog Services operate between 9am and 1am the
following morning.
Between the hours of 5pm and 1am and also at weekends and bank
holidays the service is 'Secured Strays only'. This
means we are not able to try to catch dogs.
Call 0845 121 2971 to report a
stray dog.
Seized dogs will be taken to Manchester Dogs Home during opening
hours and can be reclaimed provided the appropriate fee is
paid.
Weekend and Bank holidays
At weekends and bank holidays contact Animal Wardens
Ltd. Call 0845 241 7253 to report a stray dog.
Alternatively, fill out the contact form on
the Animal
Wardens website.
You can also take stray and unwanted dogs to Manchester
Dogs Home yourself, contact them in advance by calling 0844
501212.
Lost and found dogs
The Animal wardens will accept details of dogs that have been
lost or found and retained by the finder in the hope that they can
be reunited with their owners.
You may also wish to contact Manchester Dogs Home to check if it
has been handed in by a member of the public.
Information on acquiring a dog
If you are thinking of getting a dog and are sure you can care
for it properly please consider a visit to Manchester Dogs Home - they have all
types of dogs and can give advice and support. You will also
be ensuring that more dogs are able to be looked after.
