Governor training
We offer a termly programme of training. The Education team and
external consultants deliver governor training. Where external
consultants are used, charges are made to the individual school
budget in order to cover costs. The school budget includes an
element of funding for governor training.
Training programmes reflect new demands and developments,
prepare governors to respond to change, sometimes rapid, support
governors and those new to chairing governing body meetings and
allow governors to share experiences.
Training programmes are highly valued. The quality of training
is monitored and evaluated and action is taken in response to
feedback. Trainers are experts in their field.
Termly training details are provided within the termly
governors' newsletter which also highlights issues to be considered
by Governing Bodies that term and local and national developments
during the previous term.
