Woodland Sure Start Children's Centre is situated alongside
Woodland Community Primary School on Regent Street, Heywood. It
offers a welcoming and safe environment for families with children
aged 0 – 5 years and has excellent indoor and outdoor play
facilities.
Woodland Children’s Centre has Woodland Private Day Nursery on
site offering full day care for children aged 0-5 years.
There is a warm welcome to mums, dads, grandparents and carers
with children aged 0 – 5. Childminders and those who look
after children are also very welcome, with local network
childminders having their own group weekly.
Woodland Children's Centre has a variety of sessions for
children to stay and play with their parents/ carers and develop
their own social skills, and has range of courses for
parents throughout the year including an active parent’s forum.
There is also a weekly time for you crèche to give parents a break
and a monthly dad’s session.
Typical sessions include:
- Artful Splodger’s for craft and creative
play
- Chill, chat and play for parents aged under
25
- Baby moves sessions for babies up to 12
months
- Happy talk and tot stars for encouraging children’s
language development
- Sow and Grow gardening club for green
fingers
Woodland Children’s
Centre enjoys looking after their own allotment area where they
grow flowers, vegetables and fruit, which comes in handy at snack
time.
