Littleborough Sure Start Children's Centre
Opening Times:
Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm
Situated alongside Littleborough Community Primary School on
Denhurst Road, Littleborough Sure Start Children's Centre offers a
welcoming and safe environment for families with children aged 0 –
5 years. There are excellent indoor and outdoor play
facilities.
There are a variety of sessions for children with parents,
including an active parent’s forum, Littleborough Parents and
Carers Together (LPACT), and a younger parents' group,
appealing to young people aged 16 – 25. Both groups have
enjoyed participating in sessions such as healthy cooking, arts and
crafts, fund raising, I.T, health checks, health walks and the
gym. Free play sessions are also on offer to help
children to develop their own social skills.
Typical sessions include:
- Music Time get involved in singing, movement and
musical instruments
- Baby Bistro for mums to be and those who are
breastfeeding
- Messy arts and crafts play with pasta, play dough and
other materials
- Baby play for babies aged 0 – 9 months
- Baby massage enjoy the art of baby
massage
There is a warm welcome to mums, dads, grandparents and carers
with children aged 0 – 5. Childminders and those who look
after children are also very welcome. Littleborough
Children’s Centre also run an active timetable outside of the
centre, with other community’s partners including baby dance and
tap with Jitterbugs and Stay and Play’s based within Wardle Village
Church and Birch View Estate.
