Belfield Sure Start Children’s Centre
Opening Times:
8.00am – 6.00pm Monday – Friday
10:30am – 11:30am Saturdays
Situated on the Belfield Community School campus, just off
Albert Royd Street, Belfield Sure Start Children's Centre offers a
convenient and safe environment for 0 – 5 year olds. There are
excellent indoor and outdoor play facilities.
Belfield is the main Children’s Centre, with Meadowfields
Childrens Centres branching from it.
Sessions include:
- Little Explorers – Fun activities
outside in Belfield Woods for you and your children to investigate
natural materials
- Dads Football – Football sessions at
the Soccer Village, Milnrow.
- Parent’s Coffee Morning Drop In –
Informal sessionaimed at helping parents back to work and further
education using the computers in the IT suite. Resources can also
be used for bidding for houses online. Sessions supported by
professionals from Shaw Trust and RBH.
- Dads Gym – Gym sessions at Central
Leisure Centre.
- Young Parents Group - For parents
under 25’s, sessions consist of training and activities ranging
from cooking to first aid.
- Stay and Play - Fun activities
for children in a play session for under fives.
- Baby Massage - Parents and babies can
learn the benefit and skills of baby massage.
- Boxercise – Twilight session aimed at
improving parents fitness. Children over eight welcome if
accompanied by adult.
There is a warm welcome to mums, dads, grandparents and carers
with children aged 0 – 5. Childminders and those who look after
children are also very welcome. Belfield Children’s Centre have an
active Dads Forum who play football each Monday night.
