Choosing childcare
Choosing childcare can be a difficult decision
with many factors to consider such as:
- Are they registered?
- Is childcare available when you need it?
- Is it affordable?
When looking for early years childcare, look
for a service that you know will best suit your child. The Family
Information Service can send out helpful leaflets to enable you to
make an informed choice including a leaflet that you can read
through and use as a checklist when visiting settings.
All early education services are registered
and inspected by Ofsted and they will
ensure that the service is able to offer children the chance to
achieve Early Learning Goals. They will also check that the
building is safe and suitable for children and that there is the
correct ratio of staff to children.
