In an emergency or during periods of adverse weather conditions, we will provide regular updates to the local media as well as updating this website.

On this page you will find links to local and regional news sources and details of how to tune in to local broadcast media.

Regional television

• BBC North West - bulletins on BBC One on weekdays at  0627, 0657, 0727, 0757, 0827, 0857, 1330, 1500, 1830 and 2225. At weekends, there is a regional news bulletin at lunchtime and teatime on Saturdays, and teatime on Sundays.
• Granada Reports - bulletins on ITV1 on weekdays at  0615, 0715, 0815, 1355, 1800 and 2230. At weekends there is a regional news bulletin in the afternoon on Saturdays and in the evening on Sundays.
