Middleton Township Forums and Groups
The work of the Middleton Township Committee is supported by
forums, groups and sub committees which allow local people to have
a say about issues important to them.
These forums, groups and sub committees include:
Middleton Township Planning Sub Committee
Middleton Township Planning Sub Committee makes decisions on
planning applications in accordance with the Council’s approved
Development Control Scheme.
Middleton Township Devolved Funding and Services Sub
Committee
Each Township has its own Township Fund. Decisions relating to
the expenditure of this budget are made by the Devolved Funding and
Services Sub Committee. Meetings take place on a quarterly
basis.
Middleton Township Culture, Leisure, Tourism, Community
Cohesion and Health & Wellbeing Working Party
Middleton Culture, Leisure, Tourism, Community Cohesion and
Health & Well Being Working Party meets six times a year and
exists to enhance, develop and enable community links and pride in
the Middleton area through a variety of cultural activities. Groups
organising events in the Middleton area report to the working party
and seek support and assistance as required from the members,
together with advice on where groups can apply for funding.

Middleton Township Environment Forum
The Environment Forum meets six times a year to provide local
people with the opportunity to come and discuss environmental
issues affecting Middleton with the officers responsible for
dealing with them. This forum links to other existing more
localised environmental groups such as the Langley Environment
Group.
