Kingsway Business Park

Kingsway is a £315m business focused, mixed use development park of 170 hactare (420 acre) and is located adjacent to and with direct access onto the M62 at Junction 21.

This is a joint development by The North West Regional Development Agency and Wilson Bowden Developments with support from the Rochdale Development Agency, Rochdale Council and the European Regional Development Fund.

The Kingsway development is of truly regional significance and will be no ordinary business park. The sheer scale and ambition of the development will change the employment prospects of the area and create a fundamental shift in the Borough's economic base by attracting new added-value and knowledge-based industries. Moreover, it has the capacity and potential to shift the expectations and image of the area.

Employment and economic benefits

  • Kingsway will employ a a business community of 7,250 people
  • Create 1,750 indirect jobs
  • Create 260 construction jobs for 10-15 years (phased)
  • Secure £300m of private sector investment
