Township offices
The Township office teams work to support the Township
Councillors by:
- Listening to what the public has to say about local
issues.
- Liaising with all parts of the Council responsible for local
services to ensure they are what people want.
- Liaising with other partners, such as the Police and Health
Service.
- Improving the democratic process by providing information and
helping to make sure decisions are open and accountable.
- Administering the Township fund which is spent on local
priorities. Part of this fund is available to community groups in
the form of grants.
- Facilitating and supporting Area Forums.
The Township Managers and Assistant Township Managers are
available to meet individuals and groups, and as part of their work
try to ensure that any comments and views are given
consideration.
