Rights of way improvement plan

This rights of way improvement plan establishes a framework for rights of way and countryside access work from over a 10 year period (2007-2017). By identifying the key issues and pressures which affect access and rights of way in the borough, plans of action have been developed which will lead us towards our goal of a sustainable network which meets modern day needs.

Every local authority is required under section 60 of the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000 to produce a rights of way improvement plan.
