Housing strategy for Rochdale's Asian communities
From the time of their arrival in Britain the
Asian communities had acute housing needs which still exist
today. Since 1988 Rochdale Council, Ashiana Housing
Association and other partners have been working together to meet
these needs.
The aim of our strategy is quite simply
to eliminate housing and related disadvantage in Rochdale’s Asian
communities by 2011 by identifying housing needs, promoting
existing successful initiatives and developing new initiatives,
projects and services.
