Aiming High - The Strategic Plan for Rochdale Borough 2007-2010
Aiming High is our corporate strategy for 2007-2010. This
strategy sets out our priorities for the next three years, and our
contribution to the Rochdale Borough community strategy, Pride of
Place. It is the result of consultation with our partners and those
who use our service.
Our vision
A thriving place where people want to live, work, visit and do
business – a place in which we can all take pride.
Our priorities
Part one - borough-wide priorities
Part one of this document sets out our contribution to
borough-wide priorities, and the work of the Pride
Partnership – our local strategic partnership - to improve quality
of life. It shows what we will do to contribute to achieving the
vision of the Pride Partnership, “of a thriving place where people
want to live, work, visit and do business – a place in which we can
all take pride”. It also sets out priorities identified by each
Township.
Part two - Council specific priorities: Stepping Up
Part two is internally focused. It sets out Council
specific priorities to improve internally as an
organisation and improve customer satisfaction. This work is drawn
together in the new Stepping Up programme.
How we measure success
How we measure success is a supplement to the main Aiming
High document that shows how we will determine whether we meet
targets. As there are changes to indicators at a national
level, the information in this part of the document will change and
we will publish an up to date version of the targets we are aiming
for.
