Trafalgar Street-Entwisle Road, Rochdale
Borough of Rochdale (Trafalgar Street, Rochdale) (Temporary
Suspension of Greater Manchester County (Various Streets,
Rochdale)(Prohibition of Driving)(Borough) Order 1984) And
(Temporary Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2008
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council intend,
in not less than seven days, to make an Order, the effect of which
will be to temporarily:
(i) Suspend part of The ‘Greater Manchester County
(Various Streets, Rochdale) (Prohibition of Driving)(Borough) Order
1984’ in so far as Item 4 of the Schedule in relation to Trafalgar
Street: from its junction with Entwisle Road in a north westerly
direction to a point in line with the rear of No. 68 Trafalgar
Street, a distance of approximately 19 metres;
(ii) Prohibit vehicles from travelling along
Trafalgar Street, Rochdale from its junction with Entwisle Road for
a distance of 19 metres in a north westerly direction with the
exception of heavy goods vehicles’ when supervised by a ‘Bank
Man’.
(iii) Prohibit vehicles from waiting on both sides
of Trafalgar Street, Rochdale, from its junction with Entwisle Road
to a point 17 metres north of its junction with Ramsay Street.
The Order is required to facilitate the safe access of
construction vehicles to the site.
The Order will be operative between 8am and 6pm, Monday to
Saturday from 13 October 2008 until 27 February 2009 or until the
build is completed whichever is the sooner
Plans showing the length of highway affected may be inspected at
the Borough Solicitor’s Office, Town Hall, Rochdale and the
Customer Services Centre, Municipal Offices, Smith Street, Rochdale
during normal office hours.
