Statement of accounts
The Council is legally required to publish its
accounts following the end of the financial year. Accounts relating
to 2005/06 and future years must be approved for audit by 30 June
and published following audit by 30 September.
The accounts are prepared in accordance with
statements of recommended practice and contain a large amount of
information about the Council’s income and expenditure during the
year and its financial position at the end of the year. Separate
“group” statements within the accounts show the position of the
Council when combined with that of Rochdale Boroughwide Housing Ltd
(The Council’s Arms Length Housing Company).
