Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) Review - Draft SCI Consultation

This consultation has now finished.

Many people have strong views on planning proposals and planning applications and are keen to have their say. We acknowledge that people want to know how they can find out if there are proposals which we are considering and if there are planning applications that can effect them. They also want to be able to find out information about those proposals easily and to have a choice of ways in which they can comment.

The Council sets out its policy for involving people in the preparation of planning documents prepared as part of the Local Development Framework and consultation on planning applications in a document called a 'Statement of Community Involvement (SCI)'.

We have updated our Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) and we are seeking your views on the draft documents before adoptions. The SCI has been updated due to changes in the regulations from the publication of the Town and Country Planning (Local Development) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2008.
