Ward consultations - Pennines
Pennines Township Committee has been given new powers to make
decisions about lots of council services that affect local
people. These services include Highways and Engineering,
Libraries and Information, Link4Life (Link4Life is the name for
leisure and cultural services in the borough) and Environmental
Services - who clean the streets and collect rubbish.
How can I get involved?
To make sure that decisions reflect what people want, Pennines
Township holds ward consultation meetings every three months.
The meetings are attended by your local ward Councillors and
officers from relevant services. This is your chance to have
your say on what you would like to improve and receive regular
feedback on the changes being made.
The police also attend the meetings as part of their Police and
Community Together meetings (PACT) to advise on new developments in
your area and also address questions and concerns that you may
have.
Details of future meetings can be obtained from the Pennines
Township Office.
