Benefits - hospitalisation
A claimant or partner may claim benefits whilst
they are in hospital for a period of up to 52 weeks. The claimant
or partner must fall in to one of the following categories:
- In hospital as a patient
- Undergoing medically approved treatment, care or convalescence
but not in a residential accommodation
- Providing medically approved care
- Providing care for a child whose parent is undergoing medically
approved care
- Receiving temporary care in residential accommodation but not
those residing there on a trial basis.
