Independent Reviewing Service Privacy Notice - Children’s Social Care

Last updated: Thursday, 9 August 2018
Please note: the following notice provides additional privacy information to the Rochdale Borough Council privacy notice.

The independent reviewing service chairs reviews for children and monitors a child's case on an on-going basis including if any safeguarding issues come up. As part of the monitoring, the Independent Reviewing Organisation (IRO) has a duty to identify any areas of poor practice, including general concerns around service delivery and collective experience of looked after children. Their independence is essential to enable effective challenge of practice and planning, and to ensure a timely and appropriate service to children and young people in our care.
