Independent Mental Capacity Advocate Policy and Procedure

This document describes the policy and procedure of Rochdale Borough Council and partners in relation to the Independent Mental Capacity Advocate (IMCA) service.

Reference should also be made to the Mental Capacity Act 2005 Code of Practice and the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards Addendum.

The IMCA service is commissioned by the Rochdale Borough Safeguarding Adults Board and provided by Mind, the independent mental health charity.
