The work of the 5 Township Committees is supported by forums, groups and sub committees. The Township Committees are: Heywood, Middleton, Pennines (Firgrove, Littleborough, Milnrow, Newhey, Smallbridge and Wardle), Rochdale North, and Rochdale South.

If you're a community group and would like to know if you qualify for a Township Grant, please get in touch with your local Township Office to discuss.
Area forums and groups
Area forums and groups allow local people to have a say and raise issues such as crime and disorder, the environment, regeneration, health, street cleaning and highways. Minutes from the forums and groups are reported to the Township Committees, so councillors know your issues.
The benefits of area forums and groups are:
- Run for local people by local people.
- Opportunity to get together and discuss issues of common interest.
- Focus on local issues.
- Help can be provided in setting up and running meetings – including sending out invitations, taking minutes, and liaising with other services.
- Links formally into Township Committees.
