The Youth Empowerment Project is a resource of information and
support for young people aged between 13 and 21 years. Their
work focuses upon the UK Member of Youth Parliament, Youth Council,
Youth Forums and is responsible for the Youth Opportunity Fund,
Youth Capital Fund and Youth Banks.
The Award is a programme of activities for you to do in your
spare time. There are three awards to try for; Bronze, Silver
and Gold. We have an 'Open Award Centre' where you can take
part, or ask at your local youth club, your school or college may
run it too. It's all about trying something new, improving
your existing skills, and spending time with your friends.
The Award can be done by absolutely anyone aged 14-25.
'V'involved is the national youth volunteering programme for
16-25 year olds. In Rochdale Borough the vinvolved team is
led in partnership with the Youth Service and CVS Rochdale.
Their role is to build the capacity of all sectors so they can
offer greater quantity, quality and diversity in volunteering
opportunities for young people and engage more young people to take
part in their local community through volunteering and
leadership.
