Alcohol, drugs and substance misuse
Have your say on drug dealing and drug misuse
Rochdale Safer Communities Partnership is in the process of
writing a drug dealing strategy to tackle drug dealing in the
borough. We would like to know how drug dealing affects you and the
area that you live in, to make Rochdale a place where everyone is
safe and feels safe.

Community Drug Outreach Team
The Community Drug Outreach Team (CDOT) works
with a wide variety of organisations to support individuals and
communities to cope with the effects and influences of drug and
alcohol abuse.
They have dedicated workers in every
township and weekly drop-in sessions throughout the borough. These
sessions offer advice, information and signposting to other
services.
Getting help from CDOT is designed to
be as easy as possible.
- The team can receive referrals from
individuals, agencies and concerned others like friends and
family
- The team will provide advice and information
on drug and alcohol issues
- The team will refer individuals into
appropriate services in the borough
- The Outreach Workers can accompany you to
appointments (if necessary) to act as an advocate and provide moral
support
The team also offers basic drugs awareness
training to groups, organisations and communities.
Team members speak some community
languages.
CDOT are also the first
point of contact for people with a drug/alcohol problem who are
released from prison.
