Religions, faiths and beliefs
Faith communities undertake a wide variety of activities in
communities, either linked to places of worship or through
organisations and projects. They are important contacts within our
neighbourhoods for building cohesion and provide a great deal of
local support within communities.
Across Rochdale Borough Christianity is the most practised
faith, but there are a wide range of faiths practised by many other
people. The Rochdale Borough Multi-Faith Partnership provides a
forum for exploring faith issues and developing dialogue between
and within faith communities. They also help to raise awareness of
faith and faith issues amongst the whole community.
If you would like more information on the Multi-Faith
Partnership, please contact multifaithrochdale@gmail.com.

We recognise that there are people who hold non-religious
beliefs too. We want to find ways to work with those who
do.
Rochdale borough is a multicultural, multifaith community. BBCi
has a useful guide to different faiths and has an up to date
religious calendar.
