Cycle routes - Three bridges cycleway
The Three Bridges Cycleway links the centre of Littleborough to
Smithybridge and Wardle. The route avoids the main road but passes
through three housing estates, giving residents the choice of
cycling or walking for some local journeys.
Currently the signposted route finishes at Wardle Road.
Confident cyclists can use the main road to Rochdale from here,
however, the Council are working towards signposting a quieter
route.
The Three Bridges Cycleway, admittedly short, is the start of
Regional Route 80 which could eventually take cyclists to Rochdale,
Bury and Bolton.
