Community safety
We and our partners are undertaking a number of crime prevention
initiatives.
Our Community Safety Unit provides advice and information
on reducing the risk and fear of crime. We also advise individuals
and businesses on how to protect themselves and their property. Use

RSCP Safer Communities Strategy 2008 - 2011
Every three years the
RSCP
is required to
conduct an audit, and then develop and implement a strategy to
reduce crime, disorder, and drug misuse. Information is gained from
a wide range of sources to give a picture of the levels and
patterns of these issues across the borough. The strategy will
direct the partnership in tackling the identified issues and areas
of concern relating to crime and disorder and to improve the
quality of life in the borough by addressing associated drug and
alcohol misuse.

Shop
The Community
Safety shop is open every Saturday from 10am-12noon. You can buy a
variety of items from the shop including safety marking pens,
personal attack alarms, and timers. You can also pick up safety
leaflets and receive information and advice from the
team.

shop is located under the clock tower in the Town
Hall.
